, the latest installment in its popular football video game franchise, set for release on September 27, 2024. The game introduces several major new features aimed at delivering a more social and authentic football experience.
Headlining the innovations is "Rush," a new 5v5 game mode available across

Ultimate Team

, Clubs, and Kick-Off.

Rush allows groups of four players to team up with an AI-controlled goalkeeper, offering a fast-paced alternative to traditional 11v11 matches. In

Career Mode

, Rush will be used for playable Youth Academy tournaments.
FC 25 also overhauls its tactical foundations with "FC IQ," a new AI system powered by real-world data. This introduces over 50 new player roles and revamped team tactics to create more realistic and varied gameplay.
Women's football makes its debut in Career Mode, achieving parity with men's football across all game modes. Additionally, new "Live Start Points" allow players to begin Career Mode at any point in the real-world season, reflecting current standings, transfers, and injuries.

Other new features coming are:

, resulting in one-minute sin-bins
- Expanded "Evolutions" system in Ultimate Team
- Social "Clubhouse" hub in Clubs mode

The game represents EA's second outing since ending its partnership with FIFA. Nick Wlodyka, SVP and Group GM of EA Sports FC, stated the new features strengthen their "vision of a fan-first future for football" while "redefining what's possible on the pitch."
Pre-orders are now available, with Ultimate Edition pre-orders before August 20 receiving special player items for both FC 24 and FC 25.
