E-bike rider killed in hit-and-run on Long Island

COMMACK, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Authorities are looking for a driver who hit and killed an e-bike rider on Long Island on Thursday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The e-bike rider was traveling on Hauppauge Road when he was hit from behind by a small white SUV just before midnight, police say.

The motorist was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials say.
