THROGGS NECK, The Bronx (PIX11) – The takedown of an illegal vape shop in the Bronx turned up drug products marketed toward children, according to officials.
The New York City Sheriff's Office took PIX11 News on a tour of the Throggs Neck deli that stored illegal drugs in the back. Vape pens, rolled flower cigarettes and edible psilocybin were just some of the products kept there.
Many of the products had packaging that specifically targeted kids, according to Mayor Eric Adams and the Sheriff's Office.
Authorities also found a likely growing operation in the rear, complete with a heater and lights under a tent.
The Sheriff's Office likely seized $1 million in illegal products, according to authorities.
