BROOKLYN (PIX11)— A vehicle was involved in two separate hit-and-run accidents in Brooklyn Saturday evening, one involving a 3-year-old girl and her mother, police said.
Officers from the 67th precinct received a 911 call for a hit and run at 4:01 p.m. A 61-year-old man was driving a 2007 Toyota Sienna Northbound on Rockaway Parkway when he hit two cars, authorities said.
The driver tried to flee by making a U-turn but struck two pedestrians. The driver hit a 26-year-old mother and her 3-year-old daughter. The victims were rushed to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries. They are expected to recover, police said.
After hitting the two cars and the pedestrians, the driver fled the scene and drove to another police precinct, where he struck two more cars.
Officers from the 73rd precinct say the driver struck two unoccupied parked vehicles near Blake Avenue and Grafton Street. He was taken into police custody after the second hit-and-run incident, police said.
No charges have been made, and no further damage has been reported. It remains unclear if the driver will face charges. Police said his name has not yet been released, as charges have not been filed.
