The official site of the series 'Dr. Stone' has shared some new compelling information about the anime's fourth and final season, called '
Dr. Stone: Science Future
'. A teaser was revealed on Thursday, announcing two big new additions to the cast: dark scientist Dr. Xeno, who will be voiced by Kenji Nojima, and sniper Stanley Snyder, voiced by Kōji Yusa. These new characters are sure to make the last arc of the show even more intense and intriguing.
The first season of 'Dr. Stone: Science Future' will make its debut at CCXP (Comic Con Experience), the long-awaited Sao Paulo, Brazil edition from 5 to 8 December. This is a little taste of what's in store for the final season which premieres early January of 2025. Networks airing include Tokyo MX. It comes into three cours with some gaps in-between.
Crunchyroll will stream 'Dr. Stone: Science Future' in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. Such a global release should make the series available to its growing fanbase.
The anime aired as a television anime on 14 July 2019. Crunchyroll broadcast it worldwide; Funimation also dubbed it in English for all fans to catch up on. The anime premiered on Toonami in August 2019-the newest U.S. television broadcast territory. The sequel season, 'Dr. Stone: Stone War', started airing in January 2021, continuing the storyline, with worldwide (outside of Asia) streaming available via Crunchyroll, and Funimation offering an English voice track. Furthermore, the anime was available for streaming on Toonami in May 2021.
A one-off anime episode, 'Dr. Stone: Ryusui', further plunging viewers into the lore and world-building of the 'Dr. Stone' universe. In the third season, 'Dr. Stone: New World', premiered in April 2023, but concluded the first cours after 11 episodes. Crunchyroll broadcast the show, including an English dub, as it was broadcast in Japan. The second cours picked up the season in October 2023, and 'Dr. Stone: New World' officially debuted in December 2023.
The 'Dr. Stone' manga is a labor of love by Riichirou Inagaki, the creator behind the 'Eyeshield 21'manga series, and Boichi, who is best known for 'Sun-Ken Rock'. It first began serialization in the pages of 'Weekly Shonen Jump, where it ran until its conclusion in March 2022. So popular was it that the English translation was handled in both digital and print form by 'Viz Media', while 'MANGA Plus' also carried the digital edition.
As the anime enters its final season, everyone is in anticipation of how 'Dr. Stone' will conclude the epic tale of scientific discovery, survival, and human creativity.
