Novak Djokovic has announced that he had successful surgery on the meniscus tear he suffered during the French Open on Thursday, June 6.

Novak Djokovic announced on June 6, Thursday, that he has successful surgery on his injury he sustained at the French Open and vowed to return to the court soon. Djokovic suffered the injury ahead of ahead of the quarterfinal clash against Caper Ruud and had to pull out of the French Open.
The French Open announced that Djokovic has a torn medial meniscus in his right knee. The depth of the injury was discovered during an MRI scan the day after Djokovic was injured in a fourth-round triumph over No. 23 Francisco Cerundolo that lasted five sets and more than 4 1/2 hours. The Serbian took to Instagram and thanked the doctors and the fans for their support.
Djokovic said that he is doing his best to be healthy and fit and return to the court as soon as possible.
"In the past day, I had to make some tough decisions after sustaining a meniscus tear during my last match. I’m still processing it all but I am happy to update you that the surgery went well."
