DJ Khaled was carried by a group of security guards in a hilarious bid to avoid dirtying his Air Jordan sneakers for his performance at the 2024 South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Miami, USA. With some pair of Js retailing for thousands of dollars, there is no doubt as to why the record producer didn’t want to get his footgear sandy.
Taking to his Instagram page on Monday (February 26), DJ Khaled, whose real name is Khaled Mohammed Khaled, posted a comical video showing two security guards carrying him from one vehicle to another and then to the stage to keep the Nike footwear spotless for a show at the 2024 South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Miami.
The Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival is an annual four-day event in Miami that displays wine, spirits, chefs, and culinary personalities.
The event, which is hosted by Florida International University, also consists of dinners, wine seminars, demos, brunches and lunches, walk-around tastings, family events, fitness, and late-night parties.

“I don’t want to get my Jordans dirty. Can I get everybody to help me?” the 48-year-old record executive could be seen saying from a car as two security guards approached to help him.
Khaled was then filmed being grateful for their assistance: “Thank you, brothers. I appreciate it.”
It appeared that the music entrepreneur was trying to avoid the sandy beach, prompting the two strong men to carry Khaled to a small vehicle with a truck bed for him to stand on.
“Can’t mess up the Js,” he said.

After the vehicle transported him to a spot near the stage, two guards lifted him once again and carried him to the stairs for his entrance.
He thanked the men by bump fisting them before walking out and greeting his fans in the crowd.
In his Instagram post’s caption, Khaled teased two upcoming Drake collaborations that are scheduled to feature on the “All I Do Is Win” artist’s forthcoming album.
“When I say 2, you say DRAKES,” he wrote.
He added: “new album in the works,” tagging his We Da Best record label.

Some Instagram users weren’t too impressed with Khaled’s demeanor, as a person commented: “That’s the stupidest thing I have seen! Get off your f*****g high horse.”
Other people sympathized with the security agents, as a person wrote: “Guards don’t get paid enough for that.”
Another individual quipped: “Them security guards were struggling.”

The performance reportedly went on without a hitch, as Khaled delivered a hit-filled setlist and was joined by special guest Rick Ross in front of a large crowd, People reported.
Last year, DJ Khaled was nominated for five awards at the 65th Grammys, according to NME.
Nevertheless, Khaled’s contribution to the music industry has often been questioned. “DJ Khaled is an American music artist who doesn’t produce but organizes, directs, and promotes his songs,” Musician Wave stated in an article published in 2022.

The website further revealed: “Rather than making the music himself, he gets artists and beatmakers together to come up with tracks that are later released under his name.”
The article explained that DJ Khaled was one of the most criticized mainstream artists in the world as a result of how his songs were created.
While producers develop the beat and rappers create and perform the lyrics, DJ Khaled “does none of that” and instead adds a few ad-libs to his tracks.
However, according to the website, “it’s undeniable that DJ Khaled’s songs only exist because he’s putting in the work and making everything possible.”
