Director Venkat Prabhu finally confirms actor Premgi Amaren's wedding

Tamil director Venkat Prabhu, in a statement on June 5, confirmed that his brother and actor Premgi Amaren is getting married on June 9. For the past few days, a leaked wedding invitation had been doing the rounds on all platforms. Venkat Prabhu revealed that a friend had unintentionally leaked the invitation. He also requested privacy and promised to share pictures of the bride and groom after the wedding.

Premgi Amaren will marry Indhu at the Thiruthani Murugan Temple on June 9. The press release mentioned that it was a love marriage.

In a statement, Venkat Prabhu wrote, "An auspicious event is about to take place in our family after several years. More than 'Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?' and 'Who has Soppanasundari now?', 'When will Premgi get married' was the most asked question. To answer your question, Premgi will marry the love of his life, with our mother's blessings, in the presence of family members and friends. This was our mother's (late) most expected event, and we wish to conduct this wedding in a simple manner."

He further added, "Without knowing this, a friend shared the invitation publicly. Like how the invitation went viral, it was widely reported that the bride is a part of media and few photographs are being circulated as well. However, the bride is not in the media. Once the wedding is over, I will share the photographs. I request you all to respect our privacy and bless the bride and groom. Let us meet soon at the wedding reception."

Reportedly, Premgi had planned to host a party for his friends today. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

Venkat Prabhu concluded the note saying that an update on Thalapathy Vijay-starrer 'GOAT' will be announced soon. Premgi Amaren is a singer, actor and a composer as well. For the unaware, Premgi is Venkat Prabhu's younger brother, and they are sons of composer and television presenter, Gangai Amaren.
