Director Pathikrit Basu: Mithun Chakraborty will resume shoot after a few days

was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday, February 10, after suffering from an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Stroke. His health is reportedly improving, and was shifted to a room from the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

has now confirmed that Mithun Chakraborty is on the road to recovery, and is hoping to resume

shoot

after a few days.

Taking to Times Now, Pathikrit Basu revealed that he visited the veteran at the hospital.
The

director

also stated that Mithun Chakraborty didn’t collapse on his sets, but when the veteran was leaving his hotel for the shoot. “Nothing happened on my set. He did not come on the set. We did not shoot thereafter,” Pathikrit Basu stated.
He also added that Mithun Chakraborty is feeling better, and the veteran also wanted to

resume

the shoot shortly. “Mithunda also said that he would resume the shoot after a few days,” he added. The director further divulged that Mithun Chakraborty also discussed the things he wanted to do, once he is back on the sets.

Pathikrit Basu also confirmed that Midhun Chakraborty will be leaving the hospital probably in two days.

Mithun Chakraborty was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after experiencing discomfort.The hospital later confirmed that he had suffered a stroke. In a statement, the hospital said, “Shri Mithun Chakraborty (73), National Award-winning actor, was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals, Kolkata, around 9.40 am with complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Necessary laboratory and radiology investigations were carried out including an MRI of the brain. He has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain. Presently, he is fully conscious, well-oriented and has consumed soft diet. Shri Chakraborty is being further evaluated by a team of doctors including a neuro-physician, cardiologist and a gastroenterologist.”
