acting comeback
after a hiatus of few years with a play titled,
Unrequited Love

“Unrequited Love (
Ashad Ka Ek Din
) is a play that revolves around a day and the rainy season,” says the Femina Miss India 1999 finalist, adding, “It highlights the unsung hero - the girl who played a crucial role in Kalidasa's success, the woman who created and inspired greatness in poet Kalidasa.”
Commenting on
theatre
honing her craft, she says, “Theatre is an actor's medium.
It allows me to explore numerous ideas, scripts, and characters in depth. When we dedicate time to it, it helps in practicing the craft daily.”
Meanwhile, she says that she is on the lookout for meaty characters. “I am looking for substantial
lead roles
, particularly in
female-oriented roles
that inspire the audience, or in sci-fi genres. I would love to portray characters like Manoj Bajpayee played in Banda, Gunjan Saxena, the only female air force pilot, or
Jhansi Ki Rani
. I am confident that I can carry a film on my shoulders, as I have successfully played the lead in a two-and-half hour play as Mallik,” she says.
