NEW DELHI: In a post-match interaction following India's victory over Afghanistan in the

T20 World Cup

Super 8 clash on Thursday, an amusing exchange was shared between

Suryakumar Yadav

, the Player of the Match, and his teammate

Axar Patel

, highlighting a conversation that took place with

Virat Kohli

during the game.
The exchange centred around a conversation between Suryakumar and Kohli during the 10th over break.

Axar playfully questioned Suryakumar about the content of this discussion, prompting laughter from both players.

In a video posted by BCCI, Axar Patel asked, "During the 10th over break, Virat bhai ne kuch bola tha, woh kya baatcheet hua tha? (During the 10th over break, there were some discussions, what did Virat bhai say?)"
“Actually, 160 seemed like a par score on this wicket. It was tough batting initially, but I thought if I started strong after the break and hit a couple of boundaries, it would be easier for us and the new batters coming in as well,” replied the 33-year-old, while laughing throughout.

Axar playfully responded, “That means you bluffed Virat bhai!”
Suryakumar laughed and said, “No, no, I didn't bluff! I was just being myself!”
Watch:

Suryakumar smashed his second successive half-century, and

Jasprit Bumrah

proved his worth with the ball as India beat Afghanistan by 47 runs, marking a strong start to their Super Eight stage campaign at the T20 World Cup on Thursday.
Electing to bat in the Group 1 game, India posted a solid 181-8, thanks to a 60-run stand between Suryakumar (53) and

Hardik Pandya

(32).
When they returned to defend the total, pace spearhead Bumrah (3-7) rattled Afghanistan with a double strike in the powerplay overs. Fellow seamer Arshdeep Singh also claimed three wickets, as Afghanistan were all out for 134 in exactly 20 overs.
India's next match in the T20 World Cup Super 8 stage is against Bangladesh on Saturday, followed by another crucial game against Australia on Monday. A win against Bangladesh, however, will secure India's place in the T20 World Cup semi-final.
