wedding festivities

with

Mata Ki Chowki

that they especially organised for their loved ones. Sonarika's close friends from the industry were also present at the function and she gave a sneak peek of the ceremony on her social media handle.

For the mata ki chowki, the to-be bride and groom were seen in colour coordinated outfits. While Sonarika wore a maroon lehenga, Vikas complimented her in a maroon sherwani.
On the auspicious occasion, the couple spoke to the media and shared their excitement about starting their new journey as husband and wife.

While talking to the media, Sonarika shared, “We are getting married in just 15 days time and what better way to start our wedding festivities than Mata Ki Chowki. We decided to invite our loved ones to celebrate with us and give us our blessings and take Mata Rani’s blessings.”

She further added, "There’s a lot of excitement and I’m sure everyone goes through it. We both have been together for 9 years and we are having a great time and there’s a lot of excitement. We all are very busy with the preparations.

Sonarika revealed that their relationship is like a marriage, "I feel Humne Shaadi karne mein der kar di but as we have been together for the last 9 years this relationship is not less than a marriage. Now, we will be just officially and formally getting married."
Earlier, the couple had shared with Bombay Times the details about their wedding. It is going to be a grand affair with five functions, starting with Mata Ki Chowki in Mumbai, followed by the Maira ritual, mehndi, haldi, and a cocktail party-cum-sangeet.
