in New Delhi on Saturday. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the development and public welfare of Chhattisgarh.
The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the prompt decisions and initiatives taken by the Chhattisgarh government under 'Modi's Guarantee'.
According to the announcement, in the first cabinet meeting held after the government's formation, over 18 lakh families were approved for the
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
(PMAY).
In line with promises made to the state's farmers, the Chhattisgarh government decided to purchase paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal from November 1, 2023, for 21 quintals per acre. Additionally, on Good Governance Day on December 25, more than 13 lakh farmers will receive a payment of Rs 3716.38 crore as a bonus pending for the Kharif years 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Sai highlighted the provision of funds in the supplementary budget for schemes such as the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Kisan Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Social Security Pension, among others.
During the meeting, Sai expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for releasing a sum of Rs 2485.79 crore to Chhattisgarh by the central government and allowing the procurement of 1.5 million metric tons of rice for the central pool.
Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were also present during this meeting. Before meeting the Prime Minister, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Sai had met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
