Delhi Police shared a strong message on social media regarding New Year celebrations in a filmy manner.
Delhi Police post on New Year celebrations
“If creativity had a face,” reads one of the several such comments on the new Instagram post shared by Delhi Police on December 31. On the last day of the year 2023, the police issued an advisory for people to be mindful during New Year celebrations. However, the word of caution came loaded with a Bollywood twist.
The police department used the titles of several films released in 2023 along with Sidharth Malhotra's upcoming web series 'Indian Police Force' to impart the message. Wondering how? Well, take a look:
"New Year’s Eve par ‘Mast Mein Rehne Ka’ lekin ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’. Agar ‘Animal’ ban kar ‘Bawaal’ ya ‘Non Stop Dhamaal’ machaaya toh kahi aisa na ho ki 2024 ka pehla din ‘The Great Indian Family’ ke bajaaye ‘Indian Police Force’ ke saath manana pade," Delhi Police wrote. It loosely translates to “have fun on New Year’s Eve but be mindful or else you may end up celebrating the first day of 2024 with the police instead of your family.”
The police department creatively used Hindi movie and web series titles to impart a strong message.
Within an hour of being posted on Instagram, it garnered over 3k likes and received over a hundred comments.
“Salute to the creative team,” an Instagram user commented. “Savage,” wrote another user. “Superbâæsalute to Delhi Police,” reads another comment.
