NEW DELHI: A

Delhi court

on Thursday reserved its order on chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's bail application in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped excise policy.
Speaking about the hearing in the court, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, who is representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED), said he has established the AAP convenor's role in demanding Rs 100 crore.
"Mainly, we have shown his role as pointed earlier, regarding demand of Rs 100 crore and how the money went to Angadias. We have shown that Angadias sent this money to Goa to Chanpreet Singh of Chariot Productions which was handling the elections of AAP, funding etc was being done...We also showed that part of the fund was used for the personal usage of Arvind Kejriwal when he went to Goa and stayed there," SV Raju told news agency ANI.
Opposing Kejriwal's bail plea ASG S V Raju submitted before Rouse Avenue Court that on November 7, 2021, Arvind Kejriwal stayed at the hotel Grand Hyatt. Rs. 1 lakh was paid in two instalments. It was paid by Chanpreet Singh from his bank account. Chanpreet is the person who received Rs 45 crores from different 'Angadiyas'. His bail plea has been rejected.

The ASG argued that there is evidence that Chanpreet paid the hotel bill of Kejriwal in Goa. The court denied him bail.
The judge had also heard CM Kejriwal's application to allow his wife Sunita Kejriwal to be present during his medical examination, with the court awaiting a report from Tihar Jail on the matter.
Special Judge Niyay Bindu reserved the order after hearing arguments from the accused as well the ED on the plea.
The court on Wednesday extended CM Kejriwal's judicial custody till July 3 in the case.
The judge extended the custody after he was produced before the court through video conference as the judicial custody granted earlier had expired.
