Deepti rises to joint second among bowlers in T20I rankings

Deepti Sharma

climbed one spot to jointly hold the second position, while her teammate

Renuka Singh

also ascended one place to secure the 10th spot in the latest

ICC women's T20I bowling rankings

released on Tuesday.
Deepti's advancement was primarily propelled by South Africa spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba dropping three positions from second to fifth after securing one wicket from two matches against Australia.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal joined Deepti in the second spot after moving up one position, with England's

following closely at fourth after rising a rank. England spinner Sophie Ecclestone maintained her lead at the pinnacle of the

T20I rankings

for bowlers.
In the all-rounders' category, there were no alterations within the top 10, with Deepti holding onto the fourth position.
Regarding batters, India's vice-captain Smriti Mandhana retained her fourth position, being the highest-ranked Indian batter, while Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Harmanpreet Kaur maintained their positions at 13th, 16th, and 17th, respectively.

Australia's Beth Mooney surpassed her compatriot Tahlia McGrath to claim the top spot in the T20I rankings for batters following an outstanding innings against South Africa. Mooney has already recorded two half-centuries in 2024, with her notable performance being a remarkable unbeaten 72 off just 57 deliveries, earning her the Player of the Match title against South Africa in Canberra.
McGrath secured the second position after scoring 24 and 23 runs in the initial two games of Australia's T20I series against South Africa, while Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt maintained the third position and achieved a new career-high rating following her Player of the Match performance in the second encounter of the series.
