Production for 'Deadpool 3' has concluded, as announced on social media by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The movie, helmed by director Shawn Levy, is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
RYAN REYNOLDS WRAPS UP 'DEADPOOL 3'
Ryan Reynolds has announced the completion of filming for 'Deadpool 3', expressing gratitude for the opportunity to work with his closest friends. The Marvel Studios film, directed by Shawn Levy, also features Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine.
Reynolds also shared a picture of the Deadpool suit, hinting at the emotional end of filming. He wrote, "The suit hides blood. Also sweat, But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman, all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th (sic)."
HUGH JACKMAN ALSO SHARES HEARTFELT POST
Jackman, on his part, shared a reel of himself in the makeup chair, expressing his excitement about the film's release on July 26.
The 'Les Miserables' actor wrote, "What a ride! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well, not the 4a training or the steamed fish and veg 4 x a day for 6 months but the other 93.2%. A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew. You are all aces! If you’re reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best mates @vancityreynolds and @slevydirect I literally couldn’t have done this without you. LITERALLY! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave (sic)."
The film production faced several challenges including a delay due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, adverse weather conditions
'Deadpool 3', one of the most anticipated films of 2024, will feature Jackman's return as Wolverine after his character's death in the 2016 film, 'Logan'. The film is set before the events of 'Logan' and is a result of 20th Century Fox's merger with The Walt Disney Company. The film is now set to release in US theatres on July 26th, following a delay from its original release date of May 3rd.
