Dead teen and suspicious device found in Queens home; bomb squad requested: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A suspicious device was found inside a Queens home where a dead teen was also discovered on Wednesday morning, according to police. 

Police responded to a 911 call on Legget Place a few minutes before 8:30 a.m. Officers discovered a 17-year-old boy, who was unconscious and unresponsive, authorities said.

First responders also discovered a suspicious device within the same house that the dead teen was in. 

The NYPD Bomb Squad was requested to the scene, police said. 

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death. It remains unclear if this was a homicide or a suicide, police said.
