Despite the change in the Pakistani team lineup, with Aqeel replacing Barkat Ullah, India maintained their dominance over Pakistan in the tournament.

The Indian players displayed a higher level of quality, with Myneni's powerful serves proving difficult for the home team to handle. Additionally, Bhambri's well-placed winners further solidified India's advantage.

As a result, India will compete in World Group I in September this year, while Pakistan will remain in Group II.
The Indian team successfully adapted to the challenging conditions and heavy security measures, ensuring that the restrictions on their movement did not hinder their performance.
The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the players, with various agencies working together to ensure a smooth and incident-free tie.

Bhambri and Myneni took control of the match from the start, breaking Aqeel's serve in the first and fifth games to establish a commanding 4-1 lead.
Although Murtaza showed resilience and saved three set points in game seven, Bhambri ultimately secured the first set with ease.
The second set remained highly competitive, with both teams holding their serves until it reached 5-5. However, a few errors from the Indian team allowed the Pakistanis to gain a 4-2 lead in the tie-breaker. Nevertheless, Bhambri and Myneni quickly regained control, equalizing the score at 5-5 and ultimately winning the match as Aqeel double faulted at match point.
