BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An annual tradition in Brooklyn that helps kick off the summer season is underway.

The 47th annual DanceAfrica Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music is the country's largest African dance festival. This year, the spotlight is on the country of Cameroon.

Coco Killingsworth, the vice president of creative social impact at BAM, talks about the festival on PIX11 Morning News.
