CRS inspects third line between Singapur road junction & Rayagada stations

VISAKHAPATNAM: The

commissioner of railway safety

, South Eastern Circle, Brijesh Kumar Mishra, conducted a thorough

inspection

of the newly constructed

third line

between

Singapur road junction

and

Rayagada stations

for a length of 9.225 kms of Titlagarh - Vizianagaram third line project in Waltair division of East Coast Railway.
Saurabh Prasad, the Waltair Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad, principal executive director – RVNL Saroj Kumar Mahapatro, Dy CRS Subudhi, chief administrative officer AG Srinivasa Rao, chief planning manager V R Naidu, Chief Engineer-II Ashok Kumar, chief bridge engineer Rajkumar, ADRM (infra) Sudhir Kumar Gupta and other officers accompanied Commissioner Railway Safety during the inspection.

The newly laid section has been laid with 60kg rails and has two major bridges and eleven minor bridges which have been constructed to conform to a 25T axle load. The inspection was completed successfully, the speed trial was successful, and authorization was received for taking up full-fledged commissioning.
It is part of the Third line project of the Titlagarh - Vizianagaram line. This was achieved after a lot of hard work done by Civil Engineering, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Signal & Telecom, and Electrical departments of the Construction organization in close coordination and operations and traffic planning by Waltair Division.

As a part of this project, several traffic facilities including new crossovers laid at station yards, high-level platforms, station buildings, and bridges were also constructed.
