NEW DELHI: Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, Delhi Capitals captain

Rishabh Pant

reflected on the advice he received from the legendary

Mahendra Singh Dhoni

.
"Mahi bhai always says one thing, 'focus on controllables.' You should always focus on the thought process, the practice, and its implementation in the match rather than if someone is criticising you from the outside," Pant said on Star Sports.

"You may think that it (Pant's approach) is high-risk high-reward gameplay. But it is normal for me. I feel I am not playing any risky shots. I calculate everything as per my understanding of the game. It's important to play the situation. Criticism toh hoga (criticism will be there), but not paying heed to that, I am giving my hundred percent on the field. And that's important for me," added the wicket-keeper batsman.
