Yuvraj, one of India's greatest match-winners, has worked closely with Gill over the years. Gill, who has 1,893 runs in 32 Tests with five centuries, has shown leadership potential as captain of Gujarat Titans in the IPL. He also led India in a T20I series in Zimbabwe and was Rohit Sharma's deputy in the Champions Trophy-winning squad earlier this year.
