Three members of a family died by suicide by hanging themselves from a ceiling fan in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. According to the details, the family comprised a couple and their minor daughter.
The couple were identified as Lakhan Lal Sen (48), his wife Ranu Sen (42), and their daughter Payal Sen (14). No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
Police said investigations into the case were underway.
In a separate case that happened on December 26, a 14-year-old boy in Madhya Pradesh's Indore allegedly consumed poison after his family members scolded him for excessive use of his mobile phone. He later died during treatment.
This was the second such incident reported in the city in the last two months, officials told news agency PTI.
