Riders tell PIX11 News it will be an inconvenience, but they want better service on the line.

A trains will not run between Howard Beach–JFK Airport, Far Rockaway–Mott Avenue, and Rockaway Park–Beach 116th Street until Monday, May 20, according to the MTA.

Rockaway Park Shuttle trains will also not run to or from Broad Channel. The Rockaway shuttle train will run at all the stops between Rockaway Beach and Mott Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will run directly from Mott Avenue Station to the Howard Beach Station.

Another free shuttle bus will run on the other end of the peninsula, serving Rockaway Beach, Broad Channel, and Howard Beach station.

The LIRR also offers rides on the railroad for $2.75.

The MTA has successfully run bus brigades for other shutdowns. They promise good service and monitor it.

Work is being done at several locations, including on the structures in Jamaica Bay.
