NEW DELHI: The

Colorado Avalanche

secured a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes in Denver on Saturday night.

The opening goal came in the first period when

Bowen Byram

found the back of the net with a wrist shot at 8:37. Byram's goal marked his sixth of the season, giving the Avalanche a 1-0 lead.

In the second period, Colorado extended their lead with two more goals.

Valeri Nichushkin scored his 16th goal of the season at 1:27, capitalizing on a backhand pass from

. Later in the period, Josh Manson made it 3-0 with a snap shot from the slot at 13:29. Fredrik Olofsson added another goal just before the end of the second period, making it 4-0.
