PANAJI: The
Goa Board
of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the final schedule for the Class X and
XII
public examinations. While the Class XII exams will begin from February 28, the Class X exams will start from April 1.
A combined 35,000 students take the Class X and XII public exams in Goa each year.
The Class XII exam will end on March 18 and the Class X will end on April 23.
"The candidates are advised to be present at the places of examination at 9am. Late arrival beyond half an hour after the commencement of the examination in each subject shall disqualify the candidates from appearing at the said examination," the Goa Board circular states.
Prior to be the theory examination, the practical examination for Class XII general stream students will start from February 1.
For Class X students, the practical examinations will begin March 1.
"Under no circumstances examinations shall be postponed, even though any day is declared as a public holiday," the Goa Board circular reads.
In 2023, a Class X pass percentage of a record 96.6% was seen, whereas the Class XII exam was also cleared by the highest percentage so far of 95.4% students.
