BADAYUN: A
civil judge

Badayun
has reportedly died by suicide at her
government residence
on Saturday morning. Justice Jyotsana Rai, who hailed from Mau but had been serving in city for a year, was discovered by her aides after she failed to respond to their calls.
Upon receiving the distressing news, the district judge, senior superintendent of police (SSP), and other judicial officers swiftly arrived at the judge's residence. Additionally, a forensic team was also called in to collect samples and investigate the scene. Justice Rai had been transferred to Badayun from Ayodhya a year ago, marking her second posting.
At the time of reporting, a significant number of judicial personnel and lawyers were present at the judge's residence. Further information regarding the incident is currently awaited.
