Child inside stolen car dropped off at Queens YMCA: police

JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) -- A 5-year-old was dropped off at a YMCA after being in the back of a car that was stolen in Queens on Tuesday, according to authorities.

Around 7 p.m., a grey car was left unattended near 169-16 Jamaica Avenue with the 5-year-old in the back seat. According to police, the alleged suspect got into the car and drove away. The child was later found at a YMCA on Parsons Boulevard, roughly 10 blocks away.

Officials told PIX11 News that the child was not injured, and they are still searching for the alleged car-jacking suspect.
