Child fatally struck by vehicle in Williamsburg: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A 10-year-old girl was fatally struck by a vehicle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened at Wallabout Street and Wythe Avenue around 2:40 p.m., according to the FDNY.

The girl was taken to a local hospital where she died, police said. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash, authorities said.
