Child, 6, struck by vehicle in Dyker Heights: NYPD

DYKER HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 6-year-old child was struck by a vehicle in Dyker Heights Thursday morning, according to the NYPD. 

The child was hit near Thirteenth Avenue and 68th Street around 8 a.m., police said. They were rushed to an area hospital with minor injuries, police said. 

In 2023, 13 people were injured in crashes on Thirteenth Avenue between 65th and 77th streets, just a half-mile stretch, according to NYC Crash Mapper.
