Chennai’s Kalaignar Centenary Hospital gets Rs 6crore cath lab

on Thursday inaugurated a new

cath lab

at the

Kalaignar Centenary Hospital

in

Guindy

here. The Rs 6crore facility would take up at least 15 medical procedures every day, he said.
The hospital, inaugurated six months ago, sees 800 outpatients and 120-160 inpatients daily. “This hospital has seen rapid growth in just six months since its inauguration in June 2023. Many new hospitals don’t see these many patients at least for the first three years,” he said.
Adding more facilities such as a dialysis unit and facilities for double balloon endoscopy had led to a steady increase in patient strength, he said.
