A 50-year-old man from Chennai died after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a waste water tank in the outskirts of the city. Two of his friends are undergoing treatment after being affected by the poisonous gas.

Poisonous gas from a waste water storage tank proved fatal for a man who tried to clean it. Two of the victim's friends are currently undergoing treatment after trying to clean the tank in Chennai's Avadi.
Suresh, 50, along with his friend Ramesh and Rajesh had gone to an apartment complex in the Chennai suburban area for cleaning work. Upon completing the cleansing work, Suresh and Ramesh were reportedly asked to clean the waste water tank. Left to no choice, they had to accept to clean the tank.
