Cheapest tickets for Las Vegas Super Bowl start at $7,000

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Ticket prices for Las Vegas's first Super Bowl have dropped recently, with the cheapest tickets starting a $7,000.

The average purchase price on TickPick was $9,815 on Jan. 29, which is nearly double the price of $5,795 for last year’s game between the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in Glendale, Arizona, according to the Associated Press.

The ticket prices are down 15% from last week, however hotel costs are still exponentially high. The cheapest hotel is around $400 a night and flights from New York to Las Vegas are averaging around $500.
