Passengers on a Bhubaneswar-bound Indigo flight from Mumbai were stuck on the aerobridge for hours at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Monday, leading to complete chaos. The passengers alleged that there was no air circulation on the aerobridge.
Visuals of the incident show heated arguments between angry passengers and the airport staff.
Several passengers alleged that they were not allowed to board the aircraft as the IndiGo crew was not present, despite the ground staff being told to start boarding.
The aerobridge door was opened later, and the passengers were able to disembark at the boarding station.
Actor Radhika Apte, who was reportedly booked on the same flight, shared her ordeal in a long Instagram post. without naming the city, airport and airline.

Apte also shared a video, in which several passengers were seen behind a locked glass door.
"I had to post this! Today morning I had an flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded. But the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aerobridge and LOCKED IT," Apte said.
Following the actor's post, an IndiGo spokesperson said the airline's Bhubaneswar-bound flight from Mumbai was delayed due to "operational reasons".
"Flight 6E 2301 from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar was delayed due to operational reasons. Passengers were kept informed about the delay. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to all our passengers," the spokesperson said in a statement.
