JILINGGORA (SERAIKELA): Idli vendor Shambhu Bhagat has long served
Champai Soren
’s family in this Jharkhand
village
. On Thursday, Bhagat and scores of others were relishing the thought of the changes that the putative
CM
could bring to their
nondescript hamlet
.
“He is a true representative of the poor as he has done a lot for them,” an elated Bhagat, 58, said of Champai in Jilinggora, 22km from Jamshedpur.
Bhagat echoed the swelling tide of expectations in the village, in
Seraikela-Kharsawan district
, about better amenities once local JMM MLA Champai takes over as CM after the arrest of
Hemant Soren
.
Champai’s relatives are camping in Ranchi for the oath ceremony. “Let us see when the governor invites ‘Dada (Champai)’ to form the govt,” said Pradip Padi, an aide of Champai.
