NEW DELHI:
Team India
and Chennai Super Kings pacer
Deepak Chahar
on Saturday shared his poor experience with food delivery giant
Zomato
, alleging he did not receive the order placed via the app and instead the company showed the parcel as delivered.
Sharing his ordeal on social media, Chahar highlighted the mismanagement by Zomato in delivering the order and also pointed out that the customer service labelled him a liar.
As Chahar urged other users to share their similar bad experiences, Zomato quickly went into damage control mode, apologizing to the cricketing star.
Responding to Zomato's apology, Chahar pointed out that similar issues are faced by many, and returning money of the order isn't the solution.
Chahar is all set to make a comeback to professional cricket in the upcoming IPL as he has his eyes set on the following T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States and West Indies in June this year.
Chahar had to miss India's tour of South Africa in December followed by the home T20Is against Afghanistan after his father suffered a brain stroke, from which he has recovered now.
