For the first time, the Constable (GD) examination for recruitment of constables in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will be conducted in 13 regional languages apart from Hindi and English.
Starting January 1, 2024, the additional 13 regional languages in which aspirants can take the constable (GD) recruitment test – which had 50 lakh applicants countrywide for 50,187 posts advertised for 2023 -- are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri, and Konkani.
