BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A woman was arrested after authorities found a 4-year-old boy home alone while responding to a water leak in Coney Island early Monday, police said.

The FDNY went to check on the leak at the home at 2945 West 23rd St. at around 2 a.m. but nobody answered the door, according to the NYPD. Firefighters broke sown the door and found the child by himself, police said. The boy was not hurt.

Jadazasia Perez, 23, was arrested and charged with acting in a manor injurious to a child under the age of 17, authorities said. It was unclear if Perez is the boy's mother.

Her arraignment was pending Monday.
