BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Fulton Hot Dog King, a decades-old hot dog spot in Brooklyn, is relocating to a new location due to rising rent, according to reports.

The eatery has been open on the corner of Fulton and Elm Place since 1987. However, last week a sign that was posted on the store said, "Lost our lease." The beloved hot dog joint had to close their doors due to their landlord raising the rent, Eater reported.

According to the owners, the new location is 25 Elm Place, which is a short walk from the original location. The new location hasn't opened yet, however, they will be setting up over the next few weeks, the owners said.

"We will continue to serve this community and provide the same original food quality we have been serving for 100 years and still counting. When they knock you down get back up," the owners shared on Instagram.
