Brooklyn man shot girlfriend in the head in murder-suicide: NYPD

MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (PIX11) ---- A man shot his girlfriend to death before shooting himself in the head in a Brooklyn apartment Monday, police said.

Teddy Knight, 35, shot Tanezia Blockwood, 29, in the head before turning the gun on himself in the home they shared on Avenue I in Midwood at around 10 a.m., according to the NYPD. The couple died at the scene.

Police sources said the couple was arguing before gunfire erupted. It was unclear if the couple had a history of domestic violence.
