THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Patricia Murphy is a Bronx great-grandmother who is beyond frustrated.
For days, she said she never knew what would come out of her faucet. Sometimes, no water at all for hours. Murphy said she has put in repair tickets since August.
Christopher Snowden lives on the 15th floor and said it’s been pure misery. A notice of the water outage was posted, advising residents to fetch water from a spigot outside 700 Westchester Ave.
PIX11 News reached out to NYCHA for a statement and a NYCHA spokesperson said:
“NYCHA is aware of the issues with low water pressure affecting some units at Adams Houses. We are working with the assigned vendor to locate and repair leaks underground and will continue to do so until a lasting solution is identified for affected residents. There is currently a water station available for resident-use on Westchester Avenue between buildings 2 and 3. NYCHA encourages residents in need of assistance to call the Customer Contact Center at 718-707-7771 or submit work tickets through the MyNYCHA application."
