BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – Bronx Night Market will make its sweet return this Saturday for the summer season, promising fried ice cream, dumplings, empanadas and more.
The outdoor market will kick off at 4 p.m. and last through 10 p.m. at 1 Fordham Plaza with over 40 local vendors.
A huge range of food will be available from vendors, including Rosie’s Empanadas, Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, Grumpy Dumpling Co., Smashed New York City and Jasmine Roti.
A year after the market announced it would shut down for good, Saturday’s opening night is a major comeback after sponsor problems and security concerns.
“Our community’s voice is powerful, and we’re here to make a difference,” Marco Shalma of MASC Hospitality Group told PIX11 in February. “The Bronx Night Market isn’t just coming back; we’re leading a movement to reclaim Fordham Plaza for all of us. It’s going to be a bustling spot where culture, commerce, and connection shine.”
Can’t catch opening day? The market will return every Saturday through the fall.
Night markets are also running throughout the summer in Brooklyn’s Industry City, Harlem and Southampton, Long Island. Vegan and Latin night markets will also run in Quisqueya Plaza and Central Park.
