THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- The Bronx Night Market is set to make a comeback after it announced it would be shutting down for good in October 2023.
Organizers cited challenges with getting sponsorships for Bronx-based experiences and security concerns as reasons the event wouldn't continue after seven years. However, organizers said that they could bring back the event thanks to Marco Shalma and MASC Hospitality Group.
“Our community's voice is powerful, and we're here to make a difference," said Shalma. "The Bronx Night Market isn't just coming back; we're leading a movement to reclaim Fordham Plaza for all of us. It's going to be a bustling spot where culture, commerce, and connection shine."
Organizers announced they will bring the event back on April 6, aiming to transform Fordham Plaza and the entire Bronx. The event is slated to run on the first Saturday of every month.
The event will have food, music, and much more. To apply to be a vendor, you can click here.
