NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – This Brooklyn street is for lovers.
Normally, Love Lane sits between Hicks Street and Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights. This Valentine’s Day, some couples can bring Love Lane closer to home.
Starting Monday, the Department of Transportation is selling 100 Love Lane street signs, 50 brown and 50 pink, for $75 each.

“Love Lane” is printed in big block letters in the center of the 24” by 9” sign. Along the top reads “Brooklyn Heights Historic District,” where the actual roadway sits. Every purchase will also come with two stickers.
“From Harry and Sally’s slow burn for the ages to Loretta demanding Ronny ‘Snap out of it!’, New York is the backdrop for some of the greatest love stories ever told,” said DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez.
The city has sold specialty signs before, once commemorating Taylor Swift’s Cornelia Street apartment with a pink, purple, yellow and blue colored Cornelia Street sign. For Broadway week, the city sold green Broadway signs matching the thoroughfare from Bowling Green to Inwood.
