NEW DELHI: With the excitement building up for

Super Bowl LVIII

, San Francisco 49ers running back

Christian McCaffrey

's mom, Lisa McCaffrey, has taken a bold stance by announcing a temporary boycott of

Taylor Swift

's music.

Lisa McCaffrey

made her sentiments clear during the latest episode of her podcast, Your Mom, released on February 2.
The podcast covered the 49ers' recent victory against the Detroit Lions, securing their place in the Super Bowl against the

Kansas City Chiefs

on February 11.

However, Lisa couldn't resist taking a playful jab at the pop sensation due to Swift's romantic ties to Chiefs tight end

Travis Kelce

.

"I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next 11 days," Lisa declared on the podcast. "I love her, I love the relationship—but yep, we are boycotting any T-Swift songs."

The reference to Taylor Swift stems from the media attention surrounding her relationship with Travis Kelce. Swift has been a familiar face at 12 Chiefs games this NFL season, and her presence has become a talking point in the lead-up to the Super Bowl.
Lisa, who admitted to being a fan along with her oldest son, Max, stated, "If she pops up on the radio station—and my oldest son, Max, and I are big Swifties—nope. She's dead to us this week."

In addition to the lighthearted banter about Taylor Swift, Lisa McCaffrey also touched on the soaring costs of Super Bowl tickets during the podcast episode. She shared the family's financial constraints, expressing that a private suite for the big game was beyond their means.
"Long story short, they are outrageously expensive," Lisa revealed. "I don’t know if it’s the Taylor Swift factor, I don’t know if it’s the first time in Vegas factor, there is just so much going on."
To her surprise, Christian McCaffrey's girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, stepped in to make sure Lisa had a memorable Super Bowl experience by gifting her a suite for the game.
