CONCOURSE, the Bronx (PIX11) – A 15-year-old boy was accused of fatally shooting a man in the Bronx on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
It happened near East 161st Street and Morris Avenue in Concourse around 2:45 p.m. Police officers at a footpast saw the teenager firing a gun multiple times at a 29-year-old man, hitting him once in the chest, according to authorities.
The boy fled the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers followed the boy to East 156th Street and Courtlandt Avenue, where he was arrested, police said. A gun was also recovered.
The boy was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities.
