NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- Boris and Horton, a dog cafe with two locations in New York City is shuttering its doggie doors next week.
The sad news was announced on the cafe's Instagram on Friday and was met with hundreds of comments from dog lovers. Both the East Village and Williamsburg locations will close on Monday, the cafe shared.
Boris and Horton first opened in 2018 on Avenue A and was lauded as the first dog cafe in New York City. Visitors could bring their dogs to socialize with other pups while having a cup of coffee or a baked good.
This comes after another dog cafe on the Upper West Side stopped allowing non-service dogs inside last month.
