Boom lift collapse in Manhattan injures 5 people: officials

INWOOD, Manhattan (PIX11) – A boom lift collapsed at a construction site in Manhattan, injuring five people Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The incident happened at West 207th Street and Ninth Avenue in Inwood around 2:25 p.m., according to the FDNY.

New York City migrant shelter to be evacuated ahead of storm

Three people suffered serious injuries while two others had minor injuries, FDNY officials said. None of the injuries are life threatening, authorities said.
