BROOKLYN (PIX11) -- Bones were found near Brooklyn Bridge Park Saturday evening, near the same area where a human skull and bones were found earlier this month, authorities said.
Officers from the 84th precinct received a 911 call for possible human remains a few minutes before 7 p.m. Bone fragments were found near 10 Dock Street, police said.
PIX11 News contacted The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York. They were not immediately available to comment.
A full investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
This is the third time in August that bones have been found near the vicinity of the Brooklyn park.
